i don't know what to say. i think i'm giving up on meat. i really really want to, even though i know it's going to be really hard. i requested a vegeterian starter packet. i'll explain how this all started.
i went over to a friends house, and up above him lives a bunch of other people. we hung out with those guys one night, and i noticed a picture of a skinned cows head and a phrase beside it that says, "would you like fries witht that?" and it had a link to www.meatstinks.com. so i go and visit that site, and get their packet, and then go through a ton of links.. i browsed around for an hour or so, and saw tons of pictures that just make me want to hurl all the meat i've ever eaten back up. i basically read up on all of the slaughter house regulations, rules, and methods.. none of which are merciful in the slightest way. a lot of people think it's population control, that's untrue. we breed and produce about 95% of the food we eat. it takes tons of water and resources, and not to mention 45% of the total land in north america. it only takes half that, with only about a .001% of the water and resources used to produce the same poundage of vegetables. not to mention, the pictures i saw wouldn't exist, and there would be a few more petting zoo's around here. so this is my advice to you. when you're munchin on that hamburger, that most people think it's silly to care about (After all, the Big'N'Tasty is only $1.00) just think about everyone else. Think about your liberal self, or your tightassed self.

And just remember, when we run out of livestock, maybe you won't have a choice either. >=) Give it up. It only clogs your veins. Tastes damn good though, but you'll see when you see.
