saw her silhoette--open to nothing
then i knew right then
she was for me
she shrugged and laughed
for
everything she meant
at me
her meaning and life
all
sucked away inside her head
my hearts demise
lay within
her pool
of
fate,
floating towards the moonlit starless
void
losing grasps of what to strike
forgetting how to breathe again
just like another happy ending
wondering if i'll ever remember
why i jumped in to save her
in the first place.
