Life is unlike a bowl of potatoe soup. And that's about all it's come to. Statements like that. I hate to say it, but I've been reading. And what I've read, worries me. I really don't mean to seem so spartan, but c'mon, "Ethnically Vegan"? How about, obsessive compulsive. I have the strangest feeling that our media and how our days are generally managed (in the eyes of an upstanding citizen) are lesser symptoms of a greater problem. Compulsion. I mean.. is it really necessary? All this elitist bullshit? In the end, we're all going to die. I know it's for the sake of longevity, but let me live the way I want, and go fuck yourself if you feel otherwise. It all starts with a person feeling "Intelligent". Intelligence itself is just a pretense of what actually happens in this world. Our world, sadly enough, is shallow. It only wants two things. To live, and to die. There are many ways a person can get in its way too. And we try SO hard sometimes, it almost gets amusing. But anyway, it starts with intelligence, and then it moves to "branching out". When a person branches out, they lose contact with those they consider inferior to their intelligence. I'm not kidding, you ask a person why they don't like someone else, it usually has something to do with what they have in common. And what they have in common usually depends on what they have or will study. Or maybe their artistic tastes. It's hardly ever because a person looks different, or doesn't appeal to them physically. So these people, these intelligent people, deny someone (and the funny fuckin thing is, they always say, "i'm open minded" or "open your mind to possibilities" blah blah blah, they all say that, it's pop culture - they have to say that, or someone will find them out) so they deny or refuse to like someone, because in essence they're afraid someone will find out they're intelligence goes only as far as their $2.50 vocabulary can take them. that's fine, they keep their cool. then they become active. this is yet another class of elitism. it's a class. it's a club, it's a group. they pretend to be individual when the fact that they get together to battle a cause that breaks apart every aspect of what they're striving for. and it's follow the leader from there on out. but anyone who feels differently, or says, "you know what, maybe you're wasting your time.." or "maybe you should consider different and more individual ways of handling this situation" they attack you. you become inferior. to their purpose and to their ..."intelligence". then there are the vegans. Ethnical Vegans. These people are smart. They're Ethnically smart. They know exactly what they're talking about all the time, and they know this so fully, that anytime you try to reason with them, it's they who turn into the baby going, "no waaaaa, noooo... my way is right. you are wrong. waaaa" i've read to many articles on why i should be a vegan, but i'm never going to be one. it's another social class people in college belong to so they can feel more appreciated. (by themselves, mostly) it's elitism at it's best, and believe me, they've studied it before they become it, and they're ready to prove it to you. it's almost as if they just eat plants and vegetables so someone will go, "why don't you eat meat?" they LOVE that situation... because it shows of their...??? intelligence. prefabricated bullshit. heh. i'm not proposing anyone change their ways, or quit being activists, or start eating animals... i'm stating my opinion. if you don't like it, don't read it. i don't want your feedback, i just want to let people know how i feel. if you're smart.. you'll open your mind, and keep your Veggies to yourself. If what you want is to truly be vegan, that's great.. but stop telling everyone else that it's the right way to live.. because it's not, it's just your way to live. If you're an activist, don't complain when we all don't stand up and rally against the dark, corrupt, and cold Corporate america... some of us rely on it for living. If you're intelligent, use it to do something productive rather than advertising it on your back with everything you do. The most intelligent of people live. And they shut the fuck up. Because they're smart enough to know that their is no better man. That we're all just human, and that everything we do and gain (including intelligence) is just a belief of what someone else (or the greater mass) thinks is right.
