let's face it. some of the headlines of the media... they just don't do it for us. "How did America's Army get so good!?" What the fuck are you talking about, probably because they got 80 ka-goddamn-billion dollars from our dumbass president. Well, they've got video games to teach them in secret underground "murder-death-kill" camps for top-secret super army training. hah!! that's a crock of shit, isn't it?

I'm going to straighten this out for all you right-wing conservative numb-nuts runnin the scene on politics right now. The only article worth anything on the fight against video game violence was an article written by John Leo, called "When Life Imitates Video". IT was pretty convincing for the most part, but the fact that the spine -- the whole thesis of the paper -- fought against it's arguing principles, well.. it just shows how this all doesn't add up.

VIDEO games don't kill.

Musicians don't kill. Nor does their music. Let's understand something. People don't have time for their children. People don't want their children. You can see this in their "Age-Defying" make-up covered faces. Under the mass of Rogaine sitting atop their balding heads. I mean, we can't even accept the fact we're getting old... how could we possibly accept the fact that our kids are too? So that my friends, causes communication problems. THE whole original idea behind having kids was to raise them. Or at least, it was intended that way. Hence the mammary glands, and the child's social need for a father.

Our music and video games don't take away from our personality. They cause us to grow in ways our parents hadn't a clue where to start. ALL in all, John Leo's article stated that he really didn't know the true reason why the columbine massacre, or teenage violence in that sense occured. Why those boys walked in and shot everyone up and then themselves. But he did however know that the WAY (the STYLE) they killed them in, was a fashion found in most main stream violent video games. Well no fuckin shit. Video game dudes don't sit around and think this shit up, they see this happen in the world around them. Your children see this in the news. So what are you really fighting here? Yourself. And the truth. Completely skipping out on the reasons why those kids WANTED to kill. (attention maybe? to get back at their parents? thank you.) Video games can only really account (and i still dont' believe this) for the style in which kids commit violence now a days. Despite that - a killer is a killer. I dont care what Pink Floyd (or marilyn manson, for that matter) album he listened to before he decided to pop a couple caps in his gym teacher.

What people forget is: if you can't take blame yourself, or maybe accept the fact that you live in a society that's premedicated and obsessed with brutality (i don't even have to explain this, turn on CNN during Operation Iraqi Freedom) with violence... there will never be a solution. Stop blaming everyone else and just realize it could be you. You could have listened to your kids. You could have known them. Now that they're dead, you're scouring your checkbook for clues as to what they did in their spare time -- and it's never going to give you an answer as to why they did the things they did, because you should know by heart why they did them. You are the parents. You should know.
